About Me
Ive been painting portraits and life drawings since 1993 and have sold pieces I have already completed as well as had commissions for portraits and artwork for album covers and have had a couple of commissions from Disabilty Arts – in fact they are wanting to do a piece about this Mens Health series Im working on at the moment.
I recently joined the arts organisation called Outsidein that help and support artists that are distanced from the art market for any reason. In my case I have some disabilities and also agoraphobia so this isnt easy being an artist. One of my paintings is currently on display at Sothebys of Helen Roeten from my Scars and All series that I did on women as part of the art exhibition Humanities organised by the Outsidein art organisation, And I was their December artist of the month.
I love painting people and during my Scars and All painting series decided to ask the participants to write their stories in their own words about their scars as thought this would be much more powerful than my own interpretation of their words .
On the left is the portrait I was commissioned to do by Ed for part of his album cover and on the right are some examples of some of my life drawings
Painting and write up in situ at Sothebys . My painting of Helen Roeten was selected by the Outsidein Exhibition 2023 called Humanities, that was on at Sotheby’s and now is moving to Glasgow and then Brighton
